Individual identities and replies that are given to Consumer Surveys are kept completely confidential. All research reports contain only aggregated, not individual, information about the panel.

We will routinely review our privacy policy and security features and enhance them as necessary. This policy contains the following sections:

Information we gather and track

The Consumer Surveys Panel gathers current food consumption information from our Panel members when they fill out the Registration Questionnaire and participate in surveys. Panel members may register at the Web site. The Registration Questionnaire requires panel members to provide us with contact information (such as name, email address, telephone number). Among panel members, we track this information so we can send surveys that correspond to members' qualifications. We also summarize information about the panel to develop statistics, ensuring that the panel is representative of typical food purchasing households. Contact information is used only when Consumer Surveys needs to communicate with the panel members. We do not sell this information to other parties. The communications that panel members will receive from Consumer Surveys will concern:

  • Opportunities to participate in our surveys and taste tests of food products
  • Communications about compensation for participating in a taste test
  • Communication about updating their profile information

Panel members may opt-out of receiving communications from us at any time; please see the Opt-Out Policy section below.

Information we use and share

Information is gathered about our panel members as part of our Internet survey and research process. This information is aggregated and analyzed in reports for our clients. Your survey responses are valuable in assisting food manufacturers develop products that consumers are most interested in. We do not sell this information, or share it with parties other than those involved in Consumer Surveys market research. Consumer Surveys will never release your email address to any other person, company or organization without your permission.

Opt-out policy

Our site provides users the ability to opt-out of receiving communications from Consumer Surveys. Currently, instructions on how to unsubscribe from the Consumer Surveys Panel are identified in every email sent to panel members. If you decide you would like to discontinue your membership in the panel, log into My Account, and select 'Cancel Membership'. This will opt you out of the panel. Or, you can send an email to projects@consumersurveys.com, with the word "unsubscribe" written in the subject heading, or by replying to an email invitation (but write "unsubscribe" in the subject heading).

Modifying and updating policy

This site gives users the following options for changing and modifying information previously provided:

To update or change your profile, log in, and then click on My Profile. Enter any information that has changed in the appropriate field.

Security measures

This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. Passwords and user names are required, to limit participation in the surveys to invited panel members.

Privacy policy

With us your data is in good and secure hands.
Your data will be handled strictly confidential and always evaluated anonymously.
When doing a survey for our customers they will only get the aggregated results of analysis, never your personal data.
You can decide to end your membership anytime. All you have to do is fill in and send the online-form "end membership".

The data that is collected in the panel will only be used for scientifical und market research-oriented reasons. You will not be asked to buy wares nor will you be getting promotinal mails or any other spam-mail. The data collected in the panel will not be given to third parties.

The collecting, processing and using of the data is carried out by the strict specifications of the german data protection rights. The collected data will only be proccessed and used as far as it is necessary for the field survey, allowed by law and desired by you. Your acceptance is totally voluntary and can be revoked at any time.
